Two of East Dunbartonshire’s leading choirs are getting together to present a spring concert in support of two charities, Beatson Cancer Charity and the Emma Cameron Foundation, based in Torrance.
Kirkintilloch Ladies Choir and Westerton Male Voice Choir will be performing at the SING! concert in St David’s Memorial Park Church in Kirkintilloch, on Saturday, April 26, at 7.30pm.
There will be a selection of choral pieces including some joint items, some well-known songs and some which will be new to the audience.
Both choirs will be under the baton of Bryan Marshall, who is the musical director of both and will be accompanied by pianist Maryam Sheran who also is involved with both groups.
Tickets, costing £8, are available from choir members, Cup & Saucer, Flowers by Lynsey, Purple Edge (Bearsden) or by emailing either choir at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
Both choirs have had a very busy season, both having performed concerts around the local area and further afield.
KLC choir sang at the 50Plus show at the SSEC in November last year and in February the ladies were very honoured to provide the entertainment for the Evening Times Scotswoman of the Year awards in Glasgow City Chambers.
On March 16 the choir was invited to sing at the Scottish Soroptomist’s Tartan Ribbon event at Airth Castle.
