Strange theft baffles police and fire guts car in street
POLICE are investigating an unusual theft which took place last week.
Several engine parts of a roof hoist were removed and stolen overnight between Wednesday, February 6, and Thursday, February 7.
The raid happened in Bencloich Crescent, in Lennoxtown, and police are hopeful that somebody may have seen something which could help them catch the culprits. Call police on 0141 532 4400.
Meanwhile, a car was set on fire in a quiet residential street last weekend.
The Grey Fiat Uno was targeted in Villafield Drive, Bishopbriggs, at around 10.30pm on Sunday, February 10.
In a separate incident two power drills worth around £400 were stolen from a garage in Gleneagles Gardens, Bishopbriggs, overnight between Friday, February 8, and Saturday, February 9.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 0141 532 4400.
