Teenager arrested after hoax calls to fire brigade

POLICE swooped on a youth who allegedly made hoax calls to the fire service in the Kirkintilloch area.

The 17-year-old has been reported to the procurator fiscal for the offence at around 4.25am on Wednesday, April 11.

Meanwhile, two men in their teens have been reported to the fiscal for being in the grounds of the former Lennox Castle Hosptial in Lennoxtown without permission at around 9.30am on Friday, April 13.
