Thieves raid home and escape with £2,000 worth of items

ELECTRICAL goods worth more than £2k have been stolen from a house in Bishopbriggs.

The break-in happened between 6pm and 9pm on Saturday, February 4, in Brechin Road.

A neighbour, who knew the family were away for the weekend, raised the alarm after noticing that the house light were on.

Police say the raiders escaped with their haul – which included a laptop, a games console and an ipod – in the householder’s own car.

The green Jaguar X-type was later recovered but the stolen items are still missing. Police are appealing for witnesses.
