Thug chews off part of a man’s ear in sickening attack

A MAN had a chunk of his ear bitten off in an horrific attack in Springburn last week.

The 31-year-old was seriously injured during the assault in Barmulloch Road at 11pm on Monday, October 22.

A police spokesman confirmed “a large chunk of his left ear was bitten off”.

A 32-year-old man was arrested and was due to appear in court last week.

Meanwhile police are warning people to beware of fraudsters after a pensioner was targeted in Barmulloch last week.

The 81-year-old was at home in Berryburn Road on Monday, October 22, at around 4.15pm when a man appeared claiming he was collecting for charity.

The victim handed over £5, but became suspicious and called police.
