Twister photographed over the Campsie Hills

A FREAK weather condition was spotted by an eagle-eyed Herald reader earlier this month.

Photographer Pamela Marshall, from Kirkintilloch, took several snaps of the funnel cloud over the Campsies.

If funnel clouds reach the ground they turn into destructive tornadoes - although, luckily, this rarely happens in Scotland.
