Warning after more craters appear on district’s crumbling roads

A HOLE lot of trouble is continuing for drivers as more potholes emerge on the roads.

The Herald has been highlighting the worst roads in the district.

This week’s trouble-spots include the junction of Woodfield Avenue and Callieburn Road, in Bishopbriggs, and Birdston Road, between Kirkintilloch and Milton of Campsie.

East Dunbartonshire Council previously pledged to spend £7.3million between April 2012 and March 2013 on the roads.

It has since agreed a further £28million capital investment programme in the road network over the next five years to ensure the current improvements are maintained.
