The gale force winds last Thursday caused havoc for commuters as trains were cancelled and many roads were blocked off by fallen trees.
But Milton of Campsie man Billy Hutton couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the damage caused to three cars parked in the yard of his vehicle body repair shop just off Antermony Road.
The high winds sent a 30ft residential caravan hurling through the air and it crash landed on top of a BMW, Peugeot and Mazda.
Billy told the Herald: “It must have been some gust of wind to lift a 30ft residential. I couldn’t believe it when I saw what had happened.
“The caravan was lifted right up and landed on the roof of the cars, but it could have been a lot worse.”
The overturned caravan is pictured above in the William D Hutton Vehicle Body Repair yard.
