Would-be raiders sneak in through bathroom in Kirkintilloch

THIEVES fled a house empty-handed after a bungled raid last week.

The culprits tried to get into a property in Merkland Drive, Kirkintilloch, via a bathroom window but police say nothing was taken.

The bungled raid happened between 6pm on Wednesday, August 29, and 9.30am on Thursday, August 30.

Police are appealing for witnesses – call 0141 532 4400.

Meanwhile, a man was arrested in the early hours of the morning last week for being drunk and incapable.

Police charged the 42-year-old at around 1.30am on Tuesday, August 28, in Auchinairn Road, Bishopbriggs.
