Police Scotland officers are continuing enquiries and appealing for information after a man died on the M73 near Gartcosh earlier today, Saturday, March 15.
Around 0505 hours this morning, the man, believed to be in his late twenties, was struck by three cars whilst walking southbound on the M73 near to the Gartcosh junction.
Police and ambulance attended, but the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers of the vehicles involved – an Audi, a Volkswagen and a Vauxhall - were uninjured, but badly shaken as a result of the incident.
Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash are at an early stage and officers are working to establish the exact details of the incident.
