A SPECIAL exhibition dedicated to a hospital which closed a decade ago is set to launch early next month.

‘Lest We Forget’, in Glasgow’s Mitchell Library, brings together memories and experiences gathered from former staff and patients of Lennox Castle Hospital.

Strathkelvin and Bearsden MSP Fiona McLeod used to work in the nursing library at Lennox Castle and is looking forward to the exhibition, which runs from December 6-19 and is open to the public.

Ms McLeod said: “It doesn’t seem like it has only been 10 years since Lennox Castle Hospital closed, however, people have shared their memories through paintings, sculpture and video stories.

“The exhibition is a partnership between Project Ability, C-Change, Disability History Scotland, Scottish Campaign for a Fair Society and Values Into Action Scotland, who are keen that as a community we learn lessons from the recent past and think that this is an interesting and creative way to do this.”
