Men seriously injured in attack by gang outside pub

Two men are in a serious condition after they were attacked by a gang outside a pub.

Another man, aged 54, has been released from hospital after treatment.

Police said the two men, aged 60 and 45 had left the Campsie Bar in Woodhill Road, Auchinairn just after midnight on Tuesday when they were assaulted,

Emergency services attended and the three men were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

They have appealed for help in tracing the group responsible for the attack. They were dressed in dark clothing and their ages ranged from late 20s to late 40s.

Det Sgt David MacGregor of Kirkintilloch CID said: “This was a violent attack which left three men badly hurt and requiring hospital treatment.

“Officers are carrying out inquiries, including examining CCTV and speaking to people locally, to establish the circumstances.

“I would appeal to anyone with information regarding this incident to contact officers at Kirkintilloch CID on 101.
