More than 100 cheer this year’s stars of the tennis courts

More than 100 people gathered for Bishopbriggs Tennis Club’s annual awards night recently – held at Allan Glen’s Rugby Club.

Hosted by club coach Allwyn Crawford and attended by club sponsors, it was a chance to highlight events throughout the year, and to award tots/juniors for their progress within their sport. The entertainment for the evening was supplied by John Bennett who kept the music flowing throughout the night.

All new tots received an award for their progress with their first season at the club

Mini Red player of the year was Rachel Wilson, Mini Orange player of the year was Luca Barbieri, Mini Green player of the year was Michael Mallon and Yellow Ball player of the year was Louis Fisher.

All volunteers received tshirts for their assistance throughout the year, kindly sponsored by SC Designs.

Adult Improver of the year was Caroline Dalgety, while the player of the year trophy was presented to Samuel Stewart.

The club also donated a cheque for £650, which was raised at various events, to charity Bobath Scotland.
