Painting the village green for a fun and informative eco day

Milton of Campsie Parish Church is hosting ‘Eco-Day Event’ on Saturday, September 12, at the Stirling Hall as part of its Climate Challenge Funded Project.

The aim is to bring the whole community together in a day packed with stallholders providing information and free advice on eco issues, including renewable energy, sustainable travel, energy conservation, recycle, reuse, composting and growing your own fruit and veg.

The day will be packed with loads of fun activities for all ages, including a power bike station for adults and kids to see how much energy they’ve got and a smoothie bike to turn fruits into smoothies. Or you can try an energy savings quiz and win fantastic prizes from the Energy Saving Trust. Those with green fingers will not be left out as there will be opportunities to showcase your produce, share or sell it and also share your ideas with keen growers. Local gardeners interested in taking part can call 07878626831.
