POLICE are warning residents to be on their guard after a pensioner became the victim of a bogus caller.
The 85-year-old man, from Stepps, was conned out of a three-figure sum of cash after a caller offered to carry out work at his home earlier this month.
The caller, who took the money without carrying out the work, is around 35-years-old, 5ft 8ins and of medium build. He had cropped hair, a Scottish accent and may have been driving a van.
The incident took place at around 11am on Monday, August 1.
