Police hunt after vandals smash bus window and scratch cars

A VANDAL who smashed the window of an empty bus is being pursued by police.

The First Bus number 45/28 was targeted at around 9pm on Saturday, January 12, when it was stopped on Wester Cleddens Road, in Bishopbriggs.

It left the bus company facing a £500 repair bill.

Meanwhile, police are hunting for a vandal scratched a car. The Renault Megane was targeted overnight between Friday, January 11, and the next morning in Larch Avenue Bishopbriggs.

A car was also vandalised in Holyknowe Road, Lennoxtown, overnight between Tuesday, January 8, and Wednesday, January 9. The Fiat Punto’s wing mirrors and windscreen wipers were damaged.

Police are appealing for witnesses to call 0141 532 4400.
