Police hunt for fire-raisers who torched three tanning salons

Detectives are appealing for information after three tanning salons were deliberately set on fire in Glasgow.

Around 9.10pm hours on Tuesday 15 September 2015, police received a report of a fire at a Sunset Beach salon at 556 Broomfield Road in Barmulloch.

Around 8.50pm on Wednesday 16 September, police were called to a report of a fire at a Sunset Beach salon at 205 Springburn Way.

A short time later officers received another report of a fire at another Sunset Beach salon nearby at 279 Springburn Way.

Emergency services attended and the fires were extinguished.

Nobody was injured in the incidents.

Police are treating all three fires as wilful.

Detective Sergeant Allan MacInnes said: “Officers are carrying out enquiries including speaking to local residents and businesses as well as examining CCTV.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of the fires and noticed anything suspicious to contact police on 101.

“Alternatively you can call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where all calls will be kept anonymous.”
