Police investigating Bishopbriggs Park stabbing make arrest

A MAN has been arrested in connection with an attack that saw a teenager needing hospital treatment.

The 16-year-old boy was stabbed during an alleged mugging in Bishopbriggs Park at around 7.30pm on Monday, February 25.

He was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with a chest wound and later released.

A police spokeswoman said: “An 18-year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with the incident. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
