Police make arrest after alleged thefts in Bishopbriggs area

Police have arrested a 34-year-old Springburn man in connected with an alleged spate of thefts in the Bishopbriggs area.

He was detained in custody after reports of alleged break-ins and thefts at Huntershill Village.

Car keys were also 
allegedly stolen from lockers at Bishopbriggs Leisuredrome and the alleged theft of vehicles.

Officers said he was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court this week.

Meanwhile, detectives are investigating the serious assault of a 26-year-old man in Robroyston last Saturday, July 4.

The victim was attacked by another man outside McDonald’s at Glasgow North Retail Park on Saughs Road at around 10.35pm.

He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he received treatment for his injuries.
