Police make drugs find in playground

A TEENAGER was caught with drugs in a school playground, it has been alleged.

Police arrested a man for possession of cannabis after allegedly finding him with the drug in a primary school playground.

The 15-year-old was stopped at around 8pm on Saturday, January 21, at St Helen’s Primary, in Wester Cleddens Road, Bishopbriggs.

In a separate incident, a 43-year-old man was charged with possession of methadone at around 10.20am on Wednesday, January 19, in Lammermoor Road, Kirkintilloch.

Meanwhile, a bike worth around £300 has been stolen from a garden.

The BMX was taken from a property in Westergreens Avenue, Kirkintilloch, overnight between Wednesday, January 18 and the next morning.
