Police plea after vandals torch garden fence in Kirkintilloch

A GARDEN fence has been set on fire by vandals in Lammermoor Crescent, Kirkintilloch.

The fire thugs struck between 10pm on Thursday, August 2, and 10pm the following night.

Two wooden panels of the fence were damaged.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Kirkintilloch police office on 0141 532 4400.

Meanwhile, a motorist has been charged with driving while disqualified.

The 61-year-old man was caught by police in Merkland Drive, Kirkintilloch, at around 12.35pm on Friday, August 3. He was also charged with having no insurance.

In a separate incident, a teenager was charged with driving a motorbike without a licence and with no insurance.

The 16-year-old boy also faced other charges after being caught in Bencloich Crescent, Lennoxtown, at around 6.15pm on Sunday, August 5.
