The police are asking members of the public to help them to find a 14 year-old boy who’s gone missing from Paisley.
Jay Main (14) has been missing from his home in Greenock Road, Paisley, since around 6.30pm on Monday, December 7.
Sergeant Singh, Paisley Police Office, said: “Although Jay has been missing for almost a week now, officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries to find him, including checking with friends and family and areas, as far afield as Aberdeen, where he is known to frequent.
“So far, there have been two sightings of him, both in Greenock; the most recent being on Friday evening, December 11, in Banff Road, Greenock.
“He has been missing before on a number of occasions, however, at the end of the day he is only 14 years old and we need to know that he is safe and well.
Jay is white, approximately 5ft 4in height, of stocky build with short black hair. When he was last seen he was wearing black Lacoste tracksuit bottoms, a silver jacket and black trainers.
Anyone who knows where he is or who has any information that will help officers find him should contact officers at Paisley Police Office on 101.
Sergeant Singh added: “I would also say to Jay himself to either return home or contact officers to let them know he is ok.”
