Police warning after cars are targeted in Kirkintilloch

MOTORISTS have been warned not to leave valuables in their vehicles after two cars were broken into last week.

The first, a silver Saab, was targeted overnight between Tuesday, July 24, and Wednesday, July 25, in Townhead, Kirkintilloch.

A window was smashed and a sat-nav and maps worth around £130 taken.

Then, overnight between Thursday, July 26, and the next morning, a handbag was taken from a black Ford Ka parked in Muirhead Street, Kirkintilloch.

Around £80-worth of damage was done to the car after a window was broken.
