A music teacher has been left devastated after thieves broke in to her home and swiped five harps, worth around £10,000.

The robbers struck at the house at Craigmaddie Road in the Bardowie area of Bearsden between 4.30pm on Thursday April 7 and 8.30am on Monday, April 11.

They forced open a door to gain entry and stole the musical instruments.

A police spokesman at Kirkintilloch is appealing to witnesses who seen anyone acting suspicously in the area between the dates to contact them on 101.
