INMATES and staff at the new Low Moss Prison have been presented with copies of The Bible from the Strathkelvin and Glasgow North Branch of Gideons International.

The new jail opened on the outskirts of Bishopbriggs earlier this year and has more than 700 prisoners.

A total of 900 Bibles were donated to the prison recently.

Victor Willis, chairman of the branch, is pictured (on the right) handing over a copy of The Bible to prison governor Michael Stoney.
