An East Dunbartonshire school has been shortlisted for a prestigious award for the third time.
St Ninian’s High School is the only Scottish school in the running for the Times Educational Supplement (TES) 2014 Secondary School of the Year Award.
St Ninian’s is up against five other finalists in the UK for the trophy.
Head teacher Paul McLaughlin said: “Being shortlisted for the Secondary School of the Year for the third time in five years is an outstanding achievement.
“This reflects the fantastic work that goes on in our school every day. It is indeed a credit to all staff, pupils and the wider community.”
The winners will be announced at a gala luncheon and awards ceremony on Friday, July 4, at the Park Plaza Hotel in London.
