Recent figures show 1,244 young people who left school in East Dunbartonshire a year ago remain in work, training or higher/further education.
This equates to 95.2% of all school leavers and is the highest for any mainland local authority in Scotland.
The council, with partners and local firms, says it offers students a range of opportunities to help them access to something that uses their skills.
Councillor Eric Gotts of the Council’s Education Committee, said: “In academic terms our young people consistently perform at the highest level. This year was no exception”.
