Seagull Trust gets helps to set sail

Seagull Trust Cruises will be able to offer more trips on the Forth and Clyde Canal thanks to a generous donation of fuel.

Scottish Fuels has supplied the Kirkintilloch-based Trust, which provide cruises for people with special needs, with 1,500 litres of fuel.

In recognition of the support the local heating oil supplier has provided, the Trust was presented with a commemorative plaque, which marks the company’s long standing commitment to the Trust for the past 15 years.

Andy Blackburn, from the Kirkintilloch branch of the Seagull Trust, said: “One of our biggest outgoings is the cost of fuel for the boats, therefore a donation of this size is hugely important to us and will enable us to continue cruising for a long while to come.

“Our cruises are in great demand so the timing of the donation is ideal.”
