NEW shops could be created at Strathkelvin Retail Park near Bishopbriggs.
Plans have been submitted to turn the current B&Q store and its former garden centre into five new non-food units.
B&Q will remain in one of the units, which the firm says will be consistent with its current strategy of seeking to occupy smaller stores.
All staff will continue to be employed at the new-look store.
Retailers are being sought to move into the new units.
A Frankie & Benny’s restaurant and a Costa Coffee are also set to open in the Bishopbriggs retail park later this year – creating new jobs.
