We revealed in December that the Bank Street Cafe and Kitchen was seeking permission from Glasgow City Council planning officials to extend the cafe into the neighbouring flat.

The owners of the cafe, a popular spot with students, argued that there has been an increase in customers wanting to sit in.

However, the plans for extension have now been withdrawn.

The neighbouring flat, which is also owned by the cafe owner, would have been used to add more seating.
