The fourth annual arts festival takes place in May, but organisers are hosting the get-go event next Wednesday (November 18) at the new Don Cazcabel, formerly the Lebowskis Pop Up on Nithsdale Road.
It’s free entry from 8-11pm, with entertainment courtesy of The Creative Martyrs, The Mighty Sparrahawk and more — and artists, event organisers and volunteers are invited along for a taste of what’s to come (not to mention complimentary drinks and nibbles).

Hide AdCrawford Smith — musician and co-founder of the Fringe alongside Corinna Currie — told The Extra: “It’s exciting to be gearing up for next year’s Southside Fringe.
“Our first order of business is inviting everyone to come along to our ‘Get Go’ event on Wednesday — the perfect opportunity to get yourself involved in next year’s festival.
“There’s plenty of scope for artists and acts of all genres to be involved, for locals to join our team and for event organisers to bring us their ideas.
“The Fringe family is stronger than ever and 2016 looks like it’ll be another bumper year for the southside!”

Hide AdThe Southside Fringe kicked off in 2013 when Crawford and Corinna set out to put the wealth of southside talent on the map.
Since then, the fest has grown year on year, offering two weeks of music, visual art, cabaret, theatre and street performance, and expanding to venues including The Bungo, The Shed, The Glad Cafe and, as of last year, Fringe HQ Govanhill Baths.
