The countdown is on to find East Dunbartonshire’s shining stars of innovation and enterprise.
The final of the East Dunbartonshire Business Awards 2014 takes place on Friday,May 9 - including the presentation of 10 awards, dinner and after-dinner speaker.
The evening – to be held at The Eagle Lodge in Bishopbriggs – will also include a charity fundraiser in aid of a number of local organisations.
And former FIFA football referee Willie Young – chairman of a leading Scottish legal firm – will be the guest speaker.
Time is running out if you want to enter a firm or enterprise you work for, have received good service from or that you feel deserves recognition. The deadline is Friday, April 11.
The awards are being staged by East Dunbarton shire Council and will be judged locally by a panel of experts.
The council provides a range of support programmes for new and existing businesses in the area through Economic Development and Business Gateway services.
Councillor Alan Moir, convener of the council’s development and regeneration committee, said: “The East Dunbartonshire Business Awards 2014 will be a celebration of the great work taking place within boardrooms, workshops, bars, restaurants, social enterprises and retail outlets across the area. If you are a business within East Dunbartonshire which has achieved success over the past year, then I would encourage you to nominate yourself and share your story.
“Similarly, if you are aware of a local business or enterprise which you feel deserves recognition for growth, development, achievement or innovation over the last year, then I would also urge you to submit a nomination on their behalf.But time is of the essence – the closing date for nominations is April 11. Don’t miss out on the chance to highlight the leading business lights of East Dunbartonshire.”
Each winner will receive a trophy, certificate and a branded media pack, including logos for use on websites, company vehicles and other promotional materials.
