Store celebrates 25 years of raising a cuppa for charity

The Bishopbriggs branch of Marks & Spencer is warming up for an extra special event in aid of the 25th anniversary of Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

The store is hosting a coffee morning on Friday, September 25, with staff urging customers to get involved.

From September 1 shoppers will also be able to enjoy a host of tasty treats with 10 per cent of each sale going to Macmillan. Products include a delicious Macmillan Victoria Sandwich, the famous Colin the Caterpillar Cake and a limited edition World’s Biggest Coffee Morning 25th Anniversary Biscuit Tin.

David Anderson, store manager, said: “Macmillan is a cause that is close to many people’s hearts, including many of our employees, which is why we want to make this year’s event our most successful yet. It would also be fantastic to be able to raise more funds than ever before to help mark the 25th birthday of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.”
