A FAMILIAR face pedalled into East Dunbartonshire last week on a fundraising mission.

Television weatherman Sean Batty dropped into the Stables pub, near Kirkintilloch, for brunch during an Edinburgh to Glasgow cycle in aid of the STV Appeal 2012.

Sean was joined by his dog Jock, who travelled in a doggy trailer.

Sean said: “I’ve driven from Glasgow to Edinburgh many times, but never cycled the route, so I jumped at the chance to take on this challenge for the STV Appeal.”

He added: It’s fantastic that this year Jock is helping with the fund raising efforts.”

The STV appeal 2012 aims to help children and young people in Scotland who are affected by poverty.
