Teenage singer is preparing for first ever headliner gig

Up and coming musician, Katee Kross, will play her first headline gig in September and has chosen to give local boy, Keiran McGuire a platform too for his first ever supporting gig.

They will play at Cockburnspath Village Hall in East Lothian on Saturday, September 19, with Wigwam Productions.

Katee said: “It’s officially my first headline gig and I thought it would be a good idea to get someone from Bishopbriggs to support me.

“It gives him a chance as well and it’s actually his first ever supporting gig so it’s firsts all round.”

Katie O’Neil, aged 18, from Bishopbriggs goes by the stage name of Katee Kross and regularly plays at pubs and clubs in the area.

The Crow Tavern hosts an open mic night once a month and gives much needed exposure to local musicians.

“It’s coming on really well and more people from Bishopbriggs and the surrounding area are getting involved.”

She is playing at various festivals throughout summer and is recording an EP which she hopes to release in October.
