Thieves flee empty-handed after breaking into empty van

WOULD-be thieves broke into a van last week only to find it was empty.

The vehicle, parked in Miller Gardens, in Bishopbriggs, was targeted overnight between Monday, February 20, and the next morning. The crooks broke a window to gain access, but left empty handed.

In a separate incident a taxi driver returned to his cab to find it had been broken into.

The taxi was parked in Smith Way, Bishopbriggs, between midnight and 7am on Tuesday, February 21. One of its windows had been smashed.
