thieves stole a van which had been left with its engine running to defrost.
The white Astra was taken from a driveway in Brackenbrae Road, Bishopbriggs, last Friday, January 7, at around 7am.
Police are urging drivers not to leave their vehicles running to defrost whilst unattended.
A police spokesperson said: “Despite a number of warnings, people are still doing exactly what they have been warned not to do.
“This makes the vehicles an easy target.
“It is not only expensive cars that are being targeted, so do not take a chance and leave your car unattended with the engine running.
“Remember, your insurance will not cover you for a theft in these circumstances.”
