SCROOGE crooks left a family with a bitter taste in their mouths after stealing their festive feast.

Police hope to have unseasonal crooks up before the beaks following the theft.

About £200 worth of food was taken from a garage in Iona Way, Kirkintilloch, overnight between Friday, December 23, and Christmas Eve morning.

Meanwhile, householders were devastated to return home after Christmas to discover that their home had been targeted by vandals.

The property in Campsie Road, in Torrance, was broken into and “trashed” according to police.

Extensive damage was done to the building and a number of items were broken - although nothing was stolen.

The attack happened between 6pm on Christmas Eve and 1.30am on Boxing Day.

Anybody with any information about the crimes has been asked to contact police on 0141 532 4400.
