FASHION from the war years and Victorian era will be on display at a special show this Friday.

Cleddens Learning and Childcare Centre is holding a ‘Fashion Through the Ages’ fundraising evening with Woodhill Primary School, Bishopbriggs.

The collection includes costumes from the Victorian and Edwardian era, the war years and up to present day.

Wedding dresses and a selection of accessories will also be modelled by volunteers on the night.

The event takes place this Friday (August 31) in Woodhill Primary School hall at 7.30pm.

The collection is presented by Jill Scott, formally from the Bishopbriggs area. Her mum, Grace Kinniburgh, started the original collection 40 years ago.

The evening promises to be both informative and fun. The aim is to raise money to buy an interactive ‘white board’ for the children at Cleddens Learning and Childcare Centre in Bishopbrigggs.

Tickets are available from the nursery or school office priced £3. You can also pay at the door on the night.

Those attending are welcome to ‘bring your own bottle’. There will be a raffle and various stalls selling handmade jewellery, cupcakes, snacks and more.

The nursery can be contacted on 0141 772 7621.
