Two arrested after incident on Lenzie train

Two men have been reported to the fiscal in connection with an alleged assault on board a train at Lenzie on Saturday night.

The two, aged 33 and 34 were arrested and escorted off the train after the incident around 9pm.

A spokesman for British Rail transport police said there were no serious injuries.

The Scotrail service from Glasgow Queen Street to Stirling was delayed at Lenzie for around half an hour.

A Scotrail spokeswoman added: “Due to emergency services dealing with an incident between Bishopbriggs and Lenzie on Saturday evening, some ScotRail services were disrupted.”
