An exhibition exploring the impact of the First World War on the communities of East Dunbartonshire has opened in Kirkintilloch.
Located on the ground floor of the William Patrick Library in Kirkintilloch, it features
material from the local studies, archive, museum and lending collections including books, photos, letters, newspaper articles and artefacts.
The event, to mark the centenary of the Great War, runs until November 16 and was
arranged jointly by East
Dunbartonshire Council and EDLC Trust.
Scott Hill, chair of EDLC Trust, said: “We will be inviting people to fill in remembrance slips with the names of relatives who fought for display in the library to remember their courage and sacrifice.”
