POLICE officers want residents to put them on the spot in Kirkintilloch and Lenzie.

Locals are being given the chance to meet their community police officers and quiz them on crime concerns.

Lenzie and Kirkintilloch South Community Police will be holding a series of ‘Police and Community’ (PAC) meetings over the next few months.

The first of 2012 took place on Monday in Lenzie Public Halls, with more to be announced shortly.

Sergeant Salvatore Schillaci, from Kirkintilloch Police Office, said: “Strathclyde Police is committed to working with our communities to form a strong partnership and to address any concerns that might arise.

“I would urge people to come along to our police and community meetings and play their part in this partnership”.

“Look out for future dates in the Herald.”
