JOHN Richardson has asked the people of Kirkintilloch to turn out in force and roar Rob Roy to victory.
The Rabs boss told Herald Sport there has been an increase in attendance figures at Adamslie since his team gained promotion to the Super League Premier Division.
However, with Rob Roy sitting fourth after eight games, Richardson is hopeful more p
eople will give up a couple of hours on Saturday to watch their local team.
He said: "I have noticed more supporters coming along, even to away games, and we are all grateful for their backing.
"However, we are regularly coming up against the top teams in Junior football. This Saturday we play Auchinleck who will bring a big crowd with them so it would be good if we could push the noise level up and show them what Rob Roy are all about."
The appeal came following Rob Roy's emphatic 4-0 win over Bellshill on Saturday.
Goals from Paul McQuilken, Grant Anderson, debutant Michael Hughes and James Lennox sealed the victory, while goalkeeper Kevin Bell kept a clean sheet with a great penalty save.
Richardson said: "We scored after a couple of minutes then couldn't get out of our own half for the next 10 minutes.
"But Kev Bell made a couple of great saves and we got back into things again.
"It was probably the best team performance this season.
"We're not getting ahead of ourselves quite yet but that was a great result against a team who we could be battling against for a good position later in the season."
Rob Roy's match against Auchinleck Talbot at Adamslie this Saturday is scheduled for a 1.45pm kick-off.
