Miners fight back to win six goal thriller

KIRKINTILLOCH Miners went into this match confident on the back of last week's great result.

However, they were behind within 15 minutes when the Stirling striker capitalized on a defensive error to fire high into the net.

Stirling doubled thei
r lead with a free kick.

Miners hit back immediately as John Clark made a great run and was fouled inside the box.

Bill Ewing kept his nerve to slot home.

On the stroke of half-time, James Brown set Danny Docherty up nicely to tap in from a couple of yards out.

Miners took the lead on 70th minute. A great through ball from Drew Gallagher was latched on to by Mark Sinclair who shot past the advancing keeper from 18 yards.

The game was held up for 10 minutes due to a serious injury to John Clark.

Almost immediately after the restart Miners made sure of the three points with a magnificent strike from Paul Hamilton.

Man of the match: Danny Docherty.

Team: Wright, Hamilton, McKenna, Docherty, Brown, Ewing, Boyle, Sinclair, McLaughlin, Gallagher, Clark, Turner, Lynch, Massie, Glancy.
