Rob Roy 1
Arthurlie 1
IN this Super Premier League match Rob Roy had to fight all the way.

They were hard pressed in the first half, but managed to concede only one goal. After the interval they were much the better side, but were only able to notch a single goal.

Arthurlie pressed from the start, but the Rob Roy defence held firm.

Two dangerous free kicks were cleared without Anton Nugent being troubled.

In 15 minutes a header looked like it was flying into the net until Stuart Morrison got his head in the way.

Rob Roy managed to get upfield and gain a corner kick, but were unable to take advantage after 20 minutes.

Arthurlie found the net from a header by Winter. Shortly after Anton Nugent had to be on the alert to stop a 20 yard shot from Malcolm.

Before the interval a long range shot from McPhee was well taken by Anton Nugent.

When play resumed Rob Roy went all out on attack and when the ball broke to Jamie Docherty his quick shot slipped past the post. A minute later a Kevin McDonald free kick was headed narrowly past by Karl McCrone.

Rob Roy kept up the pressure and in 48 minutes found the net.

A corner kick was headed out to the edge of the box and Gary Carberry shot home.

They now looked for a winning goal and came close three times about the hour mark.

Grant Anderson hit a ball low across goal, but no-one could get the touch which would have put the ball in the net. Chris Gentile got his head to a free kick from Kevin McDonald, but the ball went over. Then Jamie Docherty blasted a first time shot from an awkward stance, but his try went wide.

Arthurlie came back into the match.
McKeown was very close in when he put a header wide on connecting with a corner kick. Then Anton Nugent had to race out of goal to cut out a cross.

Rob Roy went back on attack and came close twice in the final minutes. A non-scoring free kick from close in found Gary Carberry whose shot hit a defender before going wide.

From a narrow angle Jamie Docherty hit a low shot. The ball sped across goal and past the far post with Grant Anderson only inches short to connect as he raced in.
