ROB Roy manager John Richardson is quietly confident after watching his team secure two easy pre-season victories.
The Adamslie side beat Renfrew 2-0 before trouncing Benburb 6-0 in last week's friendlies.

A Chris Zok double gave the Rabs the win over Renfrew.

Against Benburb, strikes from Billy Jones, Paul McQuilken, Stuart Morrison, a Paul Craig double an
d an own-goal sealed the victory.

The wins mean Rob Roy, who have 12 new players on their books, are so far unbeaten in pre-season.

They have scored 11 and only conceded once in three games.

However, Richardson has urged caution as his team continue preparations for life as the newly-promoted team in the Premier Division.

Richardson said: "I'm not going to be singing and dancing yet but the team is slowly starting to come together.

"I don't mean any disrespect to the teams we have come up against, but they are not the kind of opposition we will be playing in the Premier Division.

"We have yet to play the Polloks or the Arthurlies of the world and we won't know how we compare to them until a few games into the season.

"We have taken these teams on to improve our fitness and, to that end, everything is going to plan.

"We have 12 new players and they, along with the players who were here last season, don't have much time to gel.

"In saying that, we have looked stronger than the teams we have played so far and the boys are starting to look decent playing alongside each other."
