THE NEW look Rob Roy is started to take shape after six new players moved into Adamslie.
Manager John Richardson has signed striker Jamie Docherty and midfielder Craig Ferguson from Renfrew, and centre-forward Paul Craig and midfielder James Lennox from Clydebank.

They will be joined by another two midfielders, Grant Anderson from Ha
rmony Row and former Dumbarton player Chris Gentile - who is a relation of Italian World Cup winning legend, Claudio Gentile.

The signings follow the announcement of a massive clear out of eight players as the Rabs prepare for life in the Premier Division.

Richardson said: "I've been looking at some of these players for a while so I'm delighted they have decided to come to Rob Roy.

"Another two or three should also be coming in soon and I'm hopeful they settle in quickly.

"I would like to think these signings are a real step forward for the club and, if not, I'm going to be in trouble."

The Rabs returned to training this week and Richardson confirmed the teams his side will come up against in pre-season friendlies.

Rob Roy start their preparations against Harestanes at Merkland on July 19 before travelling to take on Renfrew on July 23.

They then play Benburb on July 26, Rutherglen Glencairn on July 30 and Blantyre Vics on August 2.

Richardson said: "The proof in the pudding is when the season starts but it will be good to get everyone together for as many friendlies as possible.

"I wouldn't imagine we will have to change things in training too much because we are now in the Premier Division, although, we might have to learn to be just a bit more physical.

"But I've not really altered my style over the years and look where we are so there shouldn't be any reason to now."
