ROB Roy's stunning rise up the junior football ranks has continued after they sealed their second title in two seasons.
The Kirkintilloch side's 6-0 hammering of Troon on Saturday means red and black ribbons will be tied around the Stagecoach Super League First Division trophy this year.

The title victory adds another chapter to the Rabs' fairytale story whic
h has seen them transformed from relegation fodder to champions since manager John Richardson and his coaching staff took over in 2006.

Rabs have now won titles and promotion for two years in a row and Richardson says his side are looking forward to taking on junior football's 'Galácticos ' in the Premier Division.

He said: "Two titles in two years isn't the worst record you can have.

"Out of 25 games we have won 18, drawn two and lost five which, I think, is a cracking record and the players deserve all the credit in the world for that.

"We've come under a lot of stick and haven't exactly received a lot of praise from other teams or their fans.

"But you don't win that many games without being a good team.

"We've led the league from day one and I'm delighted the boys have earned themselves another title."

In celebration of the league win, Rob Roy will offer free admission to everyone for their league game at Adamslie against Maybole on Saturday.

John said: "This will be our last home game of the season so we'll turn it into a bit of a gala event.

"Everyone is welcome to come along and hopefully we can provide a great game of football for the crowd."

Saturday's kick-off is scheduled for 2pm.

Admission is free but children must be accompanied by an adult.
