Two Pollok goals within the first 18 minutes gave Rabs a mountain to climb and while they stuck to their task never looked like salvaging anything from the match.
Pollok took the loead in the 7th minute when Hanlon broke down the right wing before picking out the unmarked David Winters, who promptly slotted the ball past home keeper Murdoch from 5 yards.
Wild had a chance to increase Lok’s lead with a header but Alan Urquhart managed to clear. Pollok’s relentless pressure on the Rabs defence continued and in the 18th minute they enhanced their advantage when McKenzie broke from defence at pace before laying the ball off for Kieran McAleenan.
The ex-Rabs player took a couple of touches before sending a fierce low shot past Murdoch from 20 yards.
Both sides had chances in the second and to their credit Rabs never gave up. But they were finding it difficult to breakdown a well organised Pollok defence.
In the 90th minute Pollok were awarded a soft penalty when substitute Ryan McBeth went down under a Martin Brogan challenge when it appeared that the defender had won the ball fairly.
However, justice was done when Murdoch saved Winters poorly struck spot-kick.
