Campsie Black Watch take on Harestanes 21s tomorrow night (Thursday) in a league fixture.

Blackies’ game against Goldenhill away last Saturday was cancelled because the pitch was unplayable.

This was a quarter final of the Golden Goal Trophy and it was disappointing for both clubs so near to their clash in the Scottish Cup Final at the Excelsior Stadium, Airdrie, on Sunday, May 11.

Meanwhile, Watch played Harestanes Amateurs at Merkland astro grass in a friendly.

It was an outstanding game with both sides playing non-stop attacking football.

Harestanes won 3-1 showing more experience than Blackies.

Nine ex-Black Watch players are playing a large part in the talented Hares side.

Campsie Black Watch play Harestanes 21s in a league game in the opening mid-week fixture tomorrow, Thursday, April 10, at 6.30pm at Waterside.

On Saturday Watch are away to Baillieston 21s in a league game, kick-off 2pm.

The Black Watch game was one of several that fell victim to the weather last weekend, with Campsie Minerva’s match against Harestanes also being called off.
